       "What do people compliment you on? The color of your eyes? Shop for colorsthat enhance it. Your legs? Go for great skirts and dresses. Clothes should make you look better. Only buy things that play up what you've got."

2  Be honest about your wardrobe - and your life.

     "Ask yourself what you actually need. Does a piece you covet really work in an office, how many bohemian skirts do you need?"

3 Reinvent what you own.

    "If you're blessed with a crafty side, great. If not, think of cheap ways to up-date what you have. That black blazer you've worn a million times with jeans? Try an inexpensive pair of tuxedo pants tp turn it into an evening look."

4 Stay calm.

    " When we're stressed we panic and overpurchase. Organize your closet so you know what you have and what you're missing. Buy only what you need. Really stick to your plan!"
